Phil,
I suggest you call your book Earwigs -Good or Bad?
I must tell you about 5 years ago i rang an agricultural advice bureau because I suspected earwigs were eating my cabbages egg plants and zucchini but was told they are not leaf eating?
Anyhow as we are experiencing low rainfall I am having to water my veggies quite regularly but the earwigs have done so much damage in the garden. there does not seem to be an effective control. Years ago we used to spray dieldrin to eradicate them but not nowadays. We try to find safer remedies, solutions.
Is it possible another insect not so easily detectable is doing the damage?
