The other evening as I was walking by my neighbor’s house their shrubs were spitting seeds at me. These Scotch Broom plants are considered an invasive weeds. The seeds have a very hard shell and can germinate 80 years after they are produced. The seeds are small and are scattered easily by birds eating them then, humans tracking them in the mud on their feet, and animals by riding in their fur to unknown places.
